C&R Real Estate Services Co. is looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Technician to complete roving maintenance duties for properties located in the Portland area.
In this position, you will be working independently, managing your own time, analyzing work orders, and setting priorities with the expectation of meeting the needs of our clients. This position requires you to have some of your own tools to service intermediate to advanced maintenance work orders for multi-family residential and commercial properties. You will have dedicated days to tend to commercial properties.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Three (3) years of previous Multifamily AND Commercial Maintenance experience is required.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to be motivated and self-manage your work orders daily
Ability to prioritize work orders
Ability to physically and mentally endure periods of high stress in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining stability of performance and personality
Deal effectively with a diverse population in a professional, constructive and productive manner.
Be motivated, efficient and have the ability to follow instructions, work individually or in a team.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, drywall installation and repairs, and installation and repair of flooring is required.
Intermediate to advanced landscaping knowledge including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, edging and pruning to maintain the cleanliness and curb-appeal of the properties is required.
Experience and knowledge of painting techniques and skills. Experience using paint sprayer, roller (including long-handle), pad and brush.
Pool maintenance experience is preferred.
Operate a pressure washer
Lift up to 60 pounds
Use a vacuum cleaner and other janitorial equipment, both manual and power, and handle chemicals with close attention to safety rules.
Awareness and ability to adhere to all landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, Fair Housing Laws and refrain from all illegal discrimination practices.
You must have a reliable vehicle capable of transporting the tools of your trade, including a power washer and ladder, is a must, as well as a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and proof of current auto insurance.
Your workdays will be Monday through Friday with office hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. You will be provided a laptop to receive email work orders, track your time at each property you service on an Excel spreadsheet for billback, and record all of your mileage for reimbursement at the standard IRS business rate. A cell phone is required, and you will receive a $50 monthly stipend.
