We are seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician for the two apartment communities of Barrington Place and Evergreen Apartments in Vancouver, WA. These two apartment communities have a total of 89 units. We are looking to add a motivated self-starter to our team who is thorough, experienced, organized, and enjoys building a positive environment for residents and co-workers. Workdays for the Maintenance Technician are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
The pay rate for this position ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 an hour (DOE). A monthly $50.00 cell phone reimbursement will be provided. You will also receive mileage reimbursement for required trainings and travel required between properties.
Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician
Review punch list and complete items in a timely manner or as instructed.
Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
Complete all resident maintenance/repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
Utilize a P.O. system for purchases.
Accompany all necessary building inspections and property walk through for owners, Management staff, brokers, appraisers and other interested parties.
Maintain and monitor interior and exterior common area cleanliness including but not limited to: snow and ice removal, landscaping, litter patrol, laundry rooms, parking lots, garbage areas, etc.
Qualifications for the Maintenance Technician
Basic knowledge of landscaping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, drywall installation and repairs, and installation and repair of flooring (required).
Pool maintenance experience (required).
A valid driver’s license, state minimum insurance, and reliable transportation is required to travel amongst the two properties.
Have a basic set of hand and electric tools
Strong communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Able to work with little supervision
