OWP Engines, formally Perkins Pacific, located in Ridgefield, WA is looking to hire a part-time, temporary Parts Cycle Counter to help the warehouse team perform daily counts of inventory and research discrepancies to ensure a high level of accuracy and integrity of the inventory records.
This job requires a lot of lifting materials up to 50 lbs., and using material handling equipment as well as loading dock equipment.
There is the potential to combine this role with another part-time warehouse role for the opportunity to have full-time employment OWP Engines.

OWP Engines provides new and re-manufactured Perkins engines for more than 160 original equipment manufacturers, offering best-in-class engines for material handling, agriculture, construction, mining and industrial uses. We operate the largest diesel engine re-manufacturing program in North American and have re-manufactured Perkins engines for more than 20 years.
Type of Position: Temporary, part-time position. Between 20-30 hours a week, through the end of December 2021
Schedule Availability: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Job Site: OWP Engines (formally Perkins Pacific) in Ridgefield, WA
Primary (Essential) Duties:
Conduct Cycle Counts per warehouse procedures utilizing OWP Distribution System. Four cycle counts rounds per year or as directed by management
Maintain Cycle Count Calendar Schedule
Monitor all bin locations, correcting any new unauthorized locations, miss typed locations or missing locations
During cycle counts record any anomalies such as no labels, not properly stored, wrong locations, etc. and provide warehouse supervisor a copy of the list to correct anomalies
Conduct research to facilitate inventory reconciliation
Serves as backup for other positions in warehouse
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic computer skills (MS Office, emails, typing, etc.) and the ability to learn computer applications
Previous skills in operating material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, standing lift) preferred
Ability to decipher and understand part numbering systems for various vendors
Ability to follow instructions
Critical thinking skills
Problem solving skills
Organizational skills
Attention to detail
Effective communication, both written and verbal
Experience/Education Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1+ years’ parts or warehouse experience preferred
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred
