About the Position
The role of the Project Manager - Estimator position is to guide projects of all sizes from prospect through to the built project. Beginning with a client inquiry, the project manager will direct projects through a design, specification and estimating process, leading it to a construction contract. During the construction phase the project manager works with our team, interacts with the client and oversees the progress of the project and manages changes to assure client satisfaction and overall positive outcome of the project financially and qualitatively. Responsibilities
Client relations and communication in collaboration with Designer.
Site measurements.
As-built measurements and existing conditions documentation.
Construction drawing production and coordination with engineer.
Work with the team to establish accurate specifications, vendor, subcontractor and Weitzer Company labor estimates.
Collaborate with and help Designer in specification and researching materials, vendors, subcontractors. Help or take responsibility for ordering, planning, scheduling and delivery.
Responsible for or collaborate with Designer on record keeping, change orders and invoicing.
Key Competencies
Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on listening, empathy and clear communication.
Experience with working drawings for clients, engineers and carpenters.
In depth understanding of residential remodeling and construction.
Excellent project management and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Able to problem solve client, design and construction issues quickly and ethically.
