Portland, Oregon | 5–30 hours/week

About Us

We are a growing after school enrichment program in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to providing engaging, hands-on learning experiences for 4th to 8th graders. Our mission is to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence through activities in STEM, arts, and emotional support. We're seeking a versatile and creative website (Squarespace) and marketing owner to help drive awareness of PDX MiniMakers (3D Printing Program for Kids) and ensure our program information is clear, up-to-date, and accessible to our community.

About the Role

As our website and marketing owner, you'll play a key role in keeping our website (on Squarespace) fresh, developing creative outreach strategies to reach parents, and help drive efficiency in our overall operations. A core focus of this role is marketing our program to parents and using creativity to generate awareness in the greater Portland parent community. This is a flexible, part-time role perfect for someone who enjoys both creative and technical work and wants to make a positive impact on local families.

Squarespace and e-commerce (Stripe) expertise is an absolute requirement.

Key Responsibilities

- Website Updates

- Manage and maintain our Squarespace website (content updates, e-commerce updates, event calendars, forms, and more).

- Ensure website content is accurate, visually appealing, and mobile-friendly.

- Coordinate occasional website refreshes or new page designs as needed.

Marketing Operations

- Develop and execute creative marketing strategies to reach parents of 4th–8th graders through various channels (in-person, digital, community partnerships, school outreach, etc.).

- Support creation and scheduling of email newsletters, flyers, and social media posts.

- Identify and recommend innovative ways to generate awareness about our program in the Portland area.

- Assist with campaign tracking, reporting, and list management (email & social).

- Help maintain consistent brand messaging across all platforms.

Program Support

- Collaborate with program staff to promote events, registration deadlines, and community highlights.

- Maintain photo galleries and gather testimonials or student spotlights for marketing use.

Ideal Candidate

- Expertise with Squarespace (at least 2-3 website examples that you've created)

- Creative thinker with proven experience in parent-focused marketing and awareness campaigns

- Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp).

- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.

- Basic graphic design skills (Canva or Adobe a plus).

- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple small projects.

- Passion for education, youth programs, or community-building is a big plus!
