Staff Accountant
Full Time exempt position with benefit package
SUMMARY
Assist the controller in generating financials statements, reconciling accounts, creating journal entries, cost and inventory management, and other normal accounting department functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performing monthly close: journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements and various reports generation and analysis
Preparing and analyzing management reports; booking and analyzing inventory variances;
Assisting in developing annual budgets;
Preparing reports required by regulatory agencies
Tracking cash flows
Ad hoc tasks
Accounting System Administration
Navision ERP and HighJump sales systems; master record maintenance for customers, items and vendors
Purchase orders system maintenance
Monitoring system processes on a regular basis
Bill of Materials and production module maintenance
Ad hoc tasks
Product Flow Accounting (will train the right candidate)
Federal milk reporting
Internal reporting of raw milk usage
Working with the plant managers and developing production reports when necessary
Ad hoc tasks

Associates/Business Degree or at least 5 years of experience as a Staff Accountant.
Experience in a manufacturing company is a huge plus
Experience with monthly close, inventories, various reconciliations, Sales/AR
System experience with accounting software other than Quick Books
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
Good communication skills
Ability to plan and manage work in an efficient manner and the ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints
Proven self-starter
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates/Business Degree or at least 5 years of experience as a Staff Accountant. Candidate must possess the accounting knowledge normally obtained with a business or accounting degree. In particular this means a good knowledge of debits and credits. There will be a test. Please do not apply if you dont know this information.
