Harvest Intern Positions

Paul OBrien Winery, in downtown Roseburg, is seeking harvest interns to assist our winemaking team for the 2018 vintage. At Paul O'Brien we get the opportunity to work with many amazing vineyards in the Umpqua, Rogue and Willamette Valleys. Our production focuses on Pinot Noir and Tempranillo. The Southern Oregon sun also gives use the opportunity to produce small lots of Rhone, Bordeaux, and Italian varieties. Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Muscat, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris round out our white program.

Harvest interns will be involved in a wide variety of tasks on a daily basis and experience many aspects of harvest. Responsibilities can include: must analysis, fruit sorting, additions & inoculations, cap management, juice & wine transfers, barrel prep, barreling, and winery sanitation. Paul OBrien is large enough to offer a wide-range of experiences; yet small enough to allow our harvest interns to experience most of what harvest has to offer.

Ideal candidates are able to lift 50+ pounds, possess strong verbal and written English skills, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and must be willing to work extended hours including weekends. Forklift experience a plus!

The internship is a paid position D.O.E. The position will run from approximately 8-10 weeks beginning around the 1st of September. We will be working approximately 8-10 hour days, 6 days a week. The team is willing to work around School schedules and any other prior obligations. Must be at least 18 to apply. No winery experience necessary, just a willingness to learn!
