Dental Assistant FloaterJob Description
As the first point of contact with our patients, the Dental Assistant Floater is a critical role in the success of our practice. Warmly greeting our patients with a smile, and facilitating the patient experience from intake, through treatment, to walkout. We are looking for team member who has some experience in the dental field alongside with a sincere interest in being a part of growing our practice together. Ideal candidates will have both dental assisting and front desk experience. Interviews are currently taking place so please apply now if you are interested and qualified!Primary Responsibilities:
Front office duties would include:
Open office and be ready for the day
Attend and participate in the morning huddle
Warmly greet and check patients in and out
Communicate with patients via phone and text
Maintains schedule according to patient care needs and practice goals
Process OHP pre-authorizations and submissions
Treatment planning and presentation
Collect and record payments from patients
Follow-up calls for recall, reactivation, outstanding treatment, etc.
Responsible for the proper entry of information in Dentrix Ascend
Keeping the office clean and supplies stocked
Lab orders, deliveries and check-in cases
Assistant duties:
Sterilization support
Taking digital X-Rays
Assisting doctor with typical dental procedures
Assisting hygienist with typical hygiene proceduresMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma (required)
Experience in a dental practice (required)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
CPR Certificate (preferred, but not required)
X-ray certification (preferred, but not required)
Dental Assistant: 1 year (preferred, but not required)
Dental Front Desk: 1 year (preferred, but not required)
Experience with Oregon Health Plan (OHP) patients a plus!SCHEDULE:
Full-time 160 hours per month
Typical Hours: Either 4 days x 10 hours/day or 5 days days x 8 hours/day - Monday to Friday. 4 day weekends every other week if working 4 x 10.
