AM UTILITY

Pay: $12-12.50/ hr.

Shift Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, starting at 6AM or 8AM to Job Completion

General Summary: As a Utility worker, this employee will perform tasks including: cleaning out trailers, general warehouse cleaning, picking up cardboard, cleaning totes, and similar jobs assigned by supervisor/manager.

Essential Job Functions:

•Safely operate a pallet jack (manual & electric riding jack)

•Move totes as necessary to location for cleaning

•Remove all stickers from the outside of totes

•Clean outside and inside, as necessary, with cleaning supplies

•When necessary take totes to wash them thoroughly

•Must maintain acceptable productivity as determined by supervisor

•Stack totes on pallet and move them to staging area

•Use safe lifting methods on items weighing up to 50lbs

•Use shrink wrap to hand wrap pallets when completed

•Safely operate a Ride-on Floor scrubber

•Safely operate a cardboard baler

•Keep work area pick up and cleaned up for safety reasons

•Other duties as assigned by manager

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•Skilled in oral expression—communicating information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

•Skilled in oral comprehension —listening to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

Education and Experience:

•High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

License and Certifications:

•Harbor Wholesale will train new employees to safely use pallet jacks, cardboard baler & floor scrubber.
