Purpose
Performs full cycle payroll processing activities, including balancing and processing payroll, inspecting and balancing automated payroll output such as deduction registers and standard reports and the processing of involuntary deductions such as levies, garnishments, bankruptcies and child support. Serves as a contact for all team members and vendors with regard to payroll processes, questions and concerns.
Key Responsibilities
Kronos WFR timecard reconciliation and processing
Process weekly payroll and interim payroll checks
Process terminations and transferred employees
Process vendor payments, garnishments, one-time overrides and adjustments
Process all tax deposits related to payroll
Prepare and process federal, state and local taxes and reports quarterly
Conduct internal and external audits related to payroll function
Prorate holiday pay for part-time team members
Provide world class customer service to internal and external customers
Process quarterly gain share payouts
Live check distribution
Tuition and education reimbursements
Participate in W2 compilation, processing, and distribution
Annual vacation payouts
Process verifications of employment
Participate in annual employee giving campaign
Other duties as assigned
Cross train on other duties and assignments

Requirements
2+ years of experience in payroll or combination experience and education
Excellent keyboard skills and 10-key by touch
Ability to work efficiently with a great deal of speed and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Maintain the highest ethical standards in dealing with confidential information
Must be multi-task oriented, meet deadlines, work under pressure and work with frequently changing priorities
Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills
Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment

Preferred Qualifications
5+ years payroll experience
Kronos Workforce Ready proficiency
Multi-state payroll processing experience
Manufacturing environment experience
