COVID-19 Vaccination Required for this position Prepares grilled and fried items in a fast-paced environment according to standardized recipes and portions. Preps all ingredients as needed. Dresses, garnishes, wraps or packages menu items for service to guests. May occasionally take orders and cashier. We are looking for reliable employees to serve as short order cooks. Must have working knowledge of food sanitation requirements, the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and have one year of food service experience. We have two positions, first and second shift, each being full time with benefits, 9 months and following the academic year. Hours of work for second shift are approximately 3 p.m. to midnight. Serving as a representative of Roanoke College, Dining Services employees must display courtesy, tact and respect in all interactions with our students, members of the RC community, and with the general public. All positions require work every other weekend. Candidates must be willing to wear a uniform (provided) and non-slip safety shoes (shoe allowance provided).
