CLIENT is seeking a Laboratory Analyst who is qualified to run GCMS and HPLC for analysis of liquid food samples during dayshift hours. Successful applicant will have good technical skills and a self-driven, inquisitive attitude.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze liquid food samples using GCMS headspace sampling
Prepare and analyze liquid food samples using HPLC
Perform minor preventative maintenance on scientific instrumentation
Interpret instrumental results and present to small non-technical audiences
Maintain written records of lab procedures
Set up small-scale studies of product sensory attributes
Other miscellaneous lab-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field is required; (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
Solid conceptual understanding of chromatography principles
Good organizational skills
Self-driven attitude
Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds on occasion
