At Salem Health, we want trailblazers, self-starters, and creative thinkers to drive improvement in the health care arena where “patient-centered” is more than just words.The Design, Construction and Real Estate department at Salem Health is currently seeking a talented Staff Interior Design Planner to join their team.Reporting to the Campus Planning, Property & Real Estate Manager, the Staff Interior Design Planner plays an important role on the campus expansion and construction teams. This role will have the opportunity to assist with improvement of the aesthetic elements of the Salem Health campus and offsite locations and will be an integral part of the day-to-day ongoing work requests received by the Campus Planning team.Core Job functions

Providers support for Manager of Campus Planning, Property and Real Estate in planning, designing and furnishing interiors of the hospital and off campus sites. Support includes but is not limited to project management of in house projects, selection of furniture, preparing presentations, etc.

Manage basic design/planning and coordination meeting with end-users, architects, contractors, project managers, vendors, consultants, maintenance, environmental services and/or other project stakeholders.

Assists in coordination of new product selections using evidence based research regarding infection control, patient/ visitor and employee safety, ergonomics and maintenance/ repair/ cleanability standards to meet specific healthcare or environmental needs.

Acts as Administrator of organization Space Planning software database.

What you’ll need:Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.

-OR-

Five years of experience in commercial interior design can be substituted in the place of a Bachelor’s degree.

Minimum of one (1) year experience in a commercial interior design or architecture setting. Prior healthcare experience preferred.

Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Ability to understand the specific business needs of staff or needs of patients/families.

Knowledge of industry specific furniture and interiors trends is preferred.

Knowledge of and experience using AutoCad is required. Revit experience is preferred.

Ability to work effectively on multiple projects at one time in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated and able to problem solve independently.

Understanding of programming and space planning practices.

This position is located in Salem, Oregon. The psychiatrist\'s primary duties involve carrying a caseload and providing consultation to other mental health and non-mental health clinical programs. The physician will work in one or more Mental Health programs located in the Portland metropolitan area or in other urban or rural areas in Oregon. Some mental health programs are co-located in VA primary care clinics. Telemedicine approaches may be used to provide clinical care. The physician will supervise residents and fellows, engage in leadership activities, or develop medical services in the inpatient and/or outpatient arenas. PRPs are not considered independent practitioners and will not be privileged; rather, they are to have a \"scope of practice\" that allows them to perform certain restricted duties under supervision. Education Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from an institution whose accreditation was in place for the year in which the course of study was completed. Approved schools are: Schools of medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) for the year in which the degree was granted, or Schools of osteopathic medicine approved by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association for the year in which the degree was granted. For foreign medical graduates not covered in (1) or (2) above, facility officials must verify with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) that the applicant has met requirements for certification, and must obtain a copy of the ECFMG certificate, if claimed by the applicant.
