HOOD & DUCT/GREASE EXHAUST CLEANING – SERVICE TECHNICIAN
(Must live in the Salem area) - Immediate opening.
We are a commercial grease exhaust cleaning company that has an immediate opening for a permanent exhaust cleaning technician.
Duties: We are Fire prevention and Fire safety cleaning professionals that clean commercial kitchen grease exhaust systems in restaurants, Cafeterias, universities, schools, hospitals, etc
We also clean commercial ceilings and pressure washing.
We work at our customers' facility and job sites to perform fire safety cleaning and inspections of fire class type #1 hoods, ducts and fans, driving company vehicles is required and many other tasks, almost all of our work is done at night (Night Work). Daily hours vary depending on our customer’s hours of operation.
This is a Permanent - Entry level position, with opportunity for advancement from within!
We are looking for someone who is interested in permanent long-term employment in a growing company.
Starting @ $13.00/Hr.
Wage increases after a 90-day training/probation period. Swift progression in wages based on Work Ethic and learned knowledge.
We will provide on the job training on commercial kitchen grease exhaust systems cleaning to NFPA96 and Fire Code compliance standards, and in all aspects of the ceiling cleaning side of our business.
Cleaning all accessible components within the exhaust system to prevent fire, including Hood-Plenum-Filters-Ducts and Fans, check and change belts, how to wrap cooking equipment and surrounding areas to be protected, how to clean equipment, floors, walls, ceiling tiles and other needs, use an extension ladder and the proper clean up after we finish each job, etc
You will be trained in everything you need to know to become a qualified exhaust cleaning technician and fire safety cleaning professional.
We are willing to train an outgoing, enthusiastic, hardworking individual for this fast-paced, physical work - Experience a plus but not necessary.

Must be able to work well with others, be motivated and be a self-starter. The work is physically demanding and you must be willing to work primarily at night and on a flexible schedule with little supervision. On occasion, be willing to travel out of town for overnight jobs when necessary (example: Bend, Medford, Coastal cities).
Applicant requirements:
- Must be responsible, honest and trustworthy.
- Have a dependable vehicle/Transportation.
- Must have a valid driver's license (Required) and be insurable, with a good driving record for driving our company service trucks.
- Be able to read/write and perform basic math.
- Be able to lift up to 60 lbs. and stand for a 10-hour shift.
- Be able to climb ladders and work in high areas.
- Be willing to consent to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Have a High School Diploma/GED Equivalency.
- After 90/days, you must be willing to study and take an open book exam for your PECT (Professional Exhaust Cleaning Technician) designation by IKECA (Test paid for by the Company).
