Our organic family farm is looking for someone to join our team. We are in rural Aurora, only a few minutes from Woodburn and Wilsonville.
The work involves sorting herbs for quality, weighing and packaging them for retail sale (packing crew) year-round. Some cleaning tasks are also required, due to food sanitation policies. We have a small crew of 5 or 6 people that work together to bring fresh local organic herbs to market here in Oregon.
The sorting and packing work is done inside our new packing facility. Hours vary throughout the year. Packing starts at 8:30am until we are done with the order, which is usually between 1:00 pm-4:00 pm. Flexible scheduling: we will work to accommodate the days you would prefer to have off.
Additional hours available spring and summer to help with harvesting.
Skills and requirements:
Ability to lift 20 pounds, good hand/eye coordination, attention to detail, and basic math skills.
Must be able to work Sundays and at least two other workdays: Monday, Thursday, Friday.
Must have use of a vehicle: no public transportation is available as location is rural.
During this Covid-19 restriction time, we are considered an essential business. We practice good sanitation procedures and require employees to wear face masks in the packing room.
