Knife River has an immediate opening for Paving Crew Members in the Willamette Valley Oregon area. We offer competitive wages with a full benefits package.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform assigned task on paving crew as directed. This may include various equipment operations and laboring.
- Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors observed.
- Other misc. duties as directed by supervisor.
- Hours will vary significantly depending on seasonal work load. Must be able to work overtime, nights and weekends as required.
Prevailing wage on Public Works projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience or background in all types of asphalt paving, i.e., streets, highways, parking lots and small commercial projects.
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull and be on your feet for long periods of time, in all weather conditions.
- Need a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.
- A class A commercial driver license with tank and air brake endorsements preferred
and/or ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment and maintain one required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen.
- Clean driving record.
