This is a full time, full benefits position. The person in the position will report directly to Production Manager.
Primary job functions will include:
Operate a burn table in the burning department to make metal parts as assigned by your supervisor. You will be working together with co-workers to achieve the highest level of production (The work areas are to be kept as clean as possible at all times)
Keep the burn tables loaded with new material for scheduled orders and move used plates from cutting tables back to storage in warehouse
Move finished parts from burning area to proper staging area
Assist other Operators unloading parts from cutting tables
Assist other Operators in Part Marking
Bring in Plate from yard and put away in warehouse as needed
Assist in all Processing stations as assigned by supervisor
Coordinate removal of scrap steel from shop to pick-up bin
Maintain a high level of quality in all work produced in your department
Operate a forklift & overhead crane safely to move materials to & from machinery
Accurate receiving, labeling and storing of incoming product shipments stored in your area
These are not all inclusive and will include special projects assigned to you from time to time
In addition to the above, you will maintain a professional attitude and good working relationship with fellow employees.
You will work together with the management and the other employees to improve and increase business for Ram Steelco. A teamwork attitude is required in all aspects of our business.
Your performance will be evaluated on:
Your production quality and quantity
Efficiency of burning operations and ability to accurately record order hours worked on each order
Attendance record
Accuracy of parts when compared the order specifications
Ability to cooperate and work with other Ram Employees to process orders smoothly
Hours: Normally 7:00am to 3:30pm. These hours will be adjusted on an as needed basis. (If overtime is needed, it is a requirement of the position.)
