Desired Skills:
Minimum of 10 years maintenance experience
Able to schedule and prioritize workflow
Must have high know-how of ALL property maintenance issues
Knowledge of framing, sheetrock, etc.
Knowledge of plumbing
Knowledge of electrical
Knowledge of appliances a plus
Sheetrock installs and repair knowledge
Able to work with little supervision at times
Self-starter
Motivated
Honest
Able to install windows and doors
Remodel experience (Bathrooms and kitchens)
Ability to work fast and efficiently
Detail oriented
Work hours are Monday - Friday 8am-5pm with some after hours & weekend work required.
Pay scale: Better Than Competitor's Wages
Must have own vehicle with current valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
Must have tools of the trade.
Property maintenance is essential to every apartment community, and it is the maintenance team that carries out this vital role. Charged with preparing vacant apartments for new residents and performing routine and emergency maintenance of all kinds, Maintenance Technicians must have a working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, repair and service; the ability to troubleshoot problems and take appropriate action; superior customer service skills; and a great attention to detail. Two or more years of hands-on general maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, and appliances required; experience in painting a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent preferred; trade school or industry designation a plus. Valid driver's license, some weekend availability, and rotating on-call responsibility for after-hours emergencies required.
