Description:Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Finance Manager PSJH. Candidates for this role can sit in any of our five footprint states, AK, WA, MT, OR and CA.Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH), a $25B health system, is seeking a motivated, mission focused, results-driven and enthusiastic Senior Finance Manager to play an integral role in our healthcare transformation journey by providing financial, strategic and economic analyses to drive diversified growth opportunities, insights into current performance, and recommendations to system-wide collaborative groups of clinical leaders and administrative executives. As we continue to move to a patient centric, digitally enabled health care model utilizing strategic partnerships and new sources of revenue, the need to understand and effectively communicate value creation drivers and sustainable financial strategies is paramount to delivering the PSJH mission. Strategic Finance is a high-impact, high-visibility internal consulting group tackling some of the hardest questions within the organization.In this position you will:Lead and develop advanced financial analyses to support strategic initiatives, capital investment, revenue diversification, and cost reduction opportunities on behalf of the company’s CFO. By its nature, these projects will be complex, incorporate high risk and return and have impacts material to the system.

Design and execute market and competitive analysis to support strategy, business development, and long range financial planning.

Design and construct sophisticated financial/economic analyses including: Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) decomposition/ optimization; product, customer and portfolio profitability; scenario modeling and competitive analysis.

Prepare and deliver actionable insights generated by our analyses in written, graphical, and verbal formats to inform and empower senior leadership across the organization.

Provide consulting services to system operations, various functions and clinical programs to evaluate opportunities to improve financial performance and/or mission return.

Connect strategic decisions and options with financial analysis and impacts, including the risks of status quo.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders and leaders across the organization.

Contribute to the creation of FP&A best practices for planning, forecasting, and analytics.

Qualifications:Required qualifications for this position include:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field.

8 years closely related finance experience.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:Master's degree in Business Administration or Health Administration or a Bachelor's with commensurate education & experience.

Demonstrated executive presence with strong oral and written communication skills with a keen ability to distill complex analysis into impactful yet simple and concise stories.

Ability to collaborate and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations, and creating effective business partnerships.

Expert knowledge of financial concepts, reimbursement, financial statements, budgeting, and pricing.

Ability to construct sophisticated financial/economic analyses, such as: Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) decomposition/optimization; product, customer and portfolio profitability; multivariate, non-linear optimization; scenario modeling; and competitive analysis.

Highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication skills enabling the candidate to define a problem, ask questions, develop solutions and present conclusions to varied stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Track record of ability and willingness to mentor others and ensure development of team skills and expertise.

Ability to "think outside the box" and not be hindered by how things have been done in the past.

A sense of humor and ability to bring enthusiasm and optimism to complex business discussions an added bonus.

Intellectual curiosity to learn when faced with unfamiliar concepts and business areas.
