Personal Care Assistant
Seeking PCA for clients with autism
Job Description
ï· Provide direct care in a 1:1 setting using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in the
home and community settings
ï· Be Energetic and Responsive to needs of the learner
ï· Ability to follow learners motivation and have fun to keep learner engaged, and teach
new skills
ï· Follow the prescribed behavioral skills protocols and behavior reduction protocols
ï· Collect and record data
ï· Assist with Activities of Daily Living, such as personal hygiene and grooming routines
ï· Assist learner in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized home environment
ï· Collaborate with treatment team including parents, caregivers, and other team
members
Job Requirements
Qualified candidates are looking for a long-term commitment (minimum 2 years). Candidates
should possess a minimum of:
ï· Related experience working with individuals with Autism or other mental health
conditions
ï· Experience with challenging behavior and implementing behavior reduction protocols
ï· Drivers License
ï· Clearances or Ability to pass background checks and abuse registry checks.
ï· Associates/ Bachelors degree is preferred but not required
