DescriptionAccountemps is actively searching for an entry-level Accountant. In this role, you will enter data, review financial statements, and create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets. You will report to the Accounting Manager, work with a dynamic team, and enjoy the opportunity for career growth. This role could be a great match if you have an aptitude for Excel, you maintain a positive attitude, and you are open to an entry-level accounting position. For this long-term temporary-to-full-time position, you should be willing to work in Allentown, Pennsylvania.Responsibilities
Executing alternate duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
Helping with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Log data
Researching and correcting account discrepancies
Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts
Preparing monthly journal entries
Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audit
Requirements
Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
Outstanding data entry skills
High attention to detail
Employer requires 1 year of accounting experience
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Deep understanding of billing
Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
An AA or BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business suggested
