Description: Our client is currently seeking an IT Senior Project Manager
The IT Senior Project Manager role is responsible for providing a standardized approach to identify, prioritize, and successfully execute a technology portfolio of initiatives and projects that are aligned with the IT strategic goals and vision.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:
•Program Management. Maintaining the program SharePoint site, providing program status updates to the roadmap owner, program sponsor, and IT leadership team and managing the program scope and work with the Roadmap Owner to manage the queue of projects within the program. May be asked to present information to IT leadership team.
•Project Management. Documenting project requirements, assisting project initiation deliverables, securing project funding, assisting with project planning deliverables, conducting project kickoff, completing the execution phase of the project (managing the project task tracking, issues tracking, test planning and execution and project communication plan execution), controlling, updating, and reporting project financials, ensuring compliance to control measures, managing the vendor deliverables, purchase orders, work orders, and SharePoint site and planning and managing project completion, transition to support, and project closure.
•Project Governance. Working with Director to conduct Project Audit during closure of projects and tracking and updating monthly financials on assigned projects.
•Training and Communication. Providing tool training on Primavera and project management framework and working with the IT Director to update and maintain the methodology, templates, and seeking opportunities to train other PMs on the methodology/tools.
•Coaching and Mentoring. Assist with the development of lower level project managers through technical and soft skill consultation. May be asked to help support and/or provide guidance related to smaller projects.
•Project Administration. Tracking and updating status on key project milestones, activities and schedules, preparing project documentation and conduct project kick-off, maintaining Project SharePoint Site and project information in Primavera and communicating project status to project team, stakeholders, sponsors and IT management.
•And other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree required
•10+ years managing projects of increasingly large size, scope and financial/organizational impact
•Experience managing teams of internal resources, customer and vendor relationships
•Demonstrated strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
•Experience working cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results
•Experience and/or training in ITIL
•Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally
Certificates & Licenses:
•Project Management Professional (PMP) required

•Modeling skills, to represent requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations. Essential Functions:
•This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
•This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
•This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
•The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
•This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).
