Please note that this is a 6 months contract position.
Will work remote initially but must be prepared to attend meetings on-site at the campus. Need to be flexible to get to campus.
• Provide Consultation for Enterprise Campus Network Designs including:
o User Access, Distribution, and Core Network Layer designs
o BMS (Building Management System) and Security Network Designs
o Attending periodic design “workshops” and design reviews
o Attending vendor meetings, when necessary
o Assist with testing network designs in our lab
o Representing AP Network Team in design meetings
• Drive detailed device configurations (Catalyst 9K, 2960X, and possibly Catalyst Digital Building (CDB) switching platforms)
o Layer 2 and Layer 3 configurations
o Various LAN protocols and features
o IOS code recommendations for each platform based on code reviews
• Should have the following skill sets:
o CCIE Routing/Switching Certification
o Strong understanding of Campus Network designs and Architectures
o Able to produce Technical Documents which detail Network designs and their operation
o Understanding of Cisco Validated Designs (CVDs), and best practices for Campus LAN designs
o Familiarity with various Cisco Catalyst switching platforms, including Catalyst 9Ks
o Cisco DNA Center a plus
