A major clothing retailing is hiring sewers for their online store!

Only candidates with resume listing sewing experience will be accepted.

Position: This is a long term position for the right person! we have work year round, no major closure
AA Part-Time position Sewer 14-30 hrs, pay $20
AA Full time Position sewer 32-40 hrs, pay $20 +Benefits
This is not a fashion design job or fashion related job.
It is very simple sewing that requires straight lines and attention to details.

Requirements:
read/speak/understand Basic English
must be able to work in fast pace environment and focus on repetitive tasks.
must be able to read measurements in cm and inches.
must have good eyesight or corrected eyesight and no hands mobility issues.
must be comfortable working in a warehouse setting
MUST follow all the worksite/company policies/procedures without issue.
Must be able to keep work related information confidential.
MUST be able to sew with a single needle lockstitch machine
dress code:
no bottoms above the knees
no top that shows shoulders
no heels/open toes/sandals shoes
Must wear a approve face mask that covers nose/month at all time inside building
wear work vest
1. Intermediate experience and knowledge on using single needle lockstitch type industrial sewing machine. Advance Home machine experience ok,
2. Willing to learn to use industrial chainstitch, serger/overlock and blind stitch machines, willing to learn to do other style hemming, if no experience. Able to follow directions and work without major supervision. Have ownership of own work and take feedback well, able to work with non-English speaking members without issues.
3. Able to sit for 4-7 hours or stand 4-6 hours to work on task, able to lift 25 lbs without issues
4. Able to work on other tasks related to sewing, using industrial shears to cut, using gravity iron to press pants, using tools to seamrip for 1-5 hours.
5. can work the following schedule:
Monday-Friday:
9:30am-6pm (unpaid 30min-1 hour lunch)
during Oct-Dec
Monday-Some Sat:
9am-6pm (unpaid 1 hour lunch)
Some Sat if we need to make-up shifts due to alteration closure due to holiday or incidentence
Off Thanksgivings, Xmas, New Year, MLK, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, warehouse closure days (roughly 6 days)
6. Have own transportation to be on-time or have form of transportation that is reliable.
