Responsibilities:
Evaluate and execute on work orders issued by various stake holders
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to conform with health and safety standards
Maintenance electrical systems (repair/replace lights, outlets, circuit breaker panels etc.)
Assist in the setup, replacement or repair of support facilities
Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, doors etc.)
Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
Conduct general landscaping and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed
Must be available for snow and ice removal as needed
Requirements:
Criminal background check and a minimum credit score of 625 and
Current drivers license
Proven experience as maintenance technician
Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical and other systems
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Able to operate equipment used to maintain the property
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
Able to work out doors in any season
High school diploma or equivalent
Desired:
Building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
Certificate in welding, electrical, plumbing, etc.
Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
