Planned Parenthood Keystone (PPKey) serves 37 counties in Pennsylvania, home to over half of Pennsylvania residents. We have administrative offices in the Lehigh Valley, Harrisburg, Warminster, and York. We operate 9 medical centers that serve over 22,000 patients annually and offer comprehensive sexuality education that reaches thousands of young adults.

PPKeystone is looking to hire a full-time, non-exempt Security Specialist. The Security Specialist reports to the Senior Security Specialist and will manage the day to day security operations for the assigned health center. The Security Specialist will play an integral role in ensuring the safety and security of employees, contractors, visitors, guests and company property. This position will travel regionally through the assigned territory.
Essential Functions:
Patrol Health Center and grounds to detect possible threats, unauthorized persons/vehicles, suspicious packages or damage to property
Respond to any incidents that occur during the shift, ensuring appropriate action is taken, all reports are properly completed, and appropriate parties are notified in a timely manner
Write detailed and accurate incident reports during the shift, including notation of any unusual activities and how issues were resolved; Preparing Daily Activity Reports (DAR) in accordance with established procedures
Monitoring alarms and video equipment including fire alarms, door alarms, and duress alarms; dispatching police, fire and EMS personnel, as required
Assist with building emergencies such as evacuations, fire alarms to ensure the safety of all
Monitor movement of visitors and assure visitors entering the building are authorized
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the senior security specialist
Additional tasks required as needed
Serve as an Ambassador for the organization to inspire support and connection with the mission and services provided by the affiliate
Ensure completion of required annual training
Adhere to all HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
Qualifications (Required):
Willingness to travel. Reliable means of transportation
Ability to travel regionally as much as 60%, mileage reimbursement will be provided according to policy
Technical competence, particularly in video management and alarm monitoring systems, with a strong understanding of security operations.
Excellent written communications and report writing skills
Qualifications (Preferred):
2 - 3 years of experience in the security industry(ies) or similar environment

Salary and Benefits:
Compensation for this position starts at $15.00 per hour
