LASE SOLAR is a nationally ranked commercial solar installation installer.
The Solar Installer will be responsible for assisting in installation of trackers and ground racking photovoltaic systems. The position requires you to work side by side with other crewmembers and assist in the operation of a fully installed solar racking system. We are working with structural steel.
This is a traveling position. We are project-based and travel to wherever projects are located. Hotel accommodation and $30 per diem paid on the road.
Construction experience preferred
Above average mechanical aptitude
Must be able to lift pull and push material weighing 65 lbs on a frequent basis
Installing solar modules
Work with crew members to complete projects within established policies and procedures
Assemble solar array racking and all relative equipment
Work with crew members to diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues
SAFETY
o Follow OSHA/ANSI standards
o Must provide your own PPE:
Hard hat
ANSI approved safety glasses
Hi vis clothing
Steel/composite toe boots
Gloves
o Must have your own mechanics tool belt
ADDITIONAL:
Great attention to detail
Valid driver’s license
Clean driving record
Reliable transportation
Performs other duties and projects as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
There are certain physical demands that are essential functions of this position. Must have full range or mobility in upper and lower body; ability to work in various positions and environments.
While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to hear and talk. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers, handle and feel objects, tools and controls.
The employee is required to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include, but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually light to moderate.
TOOLS:
All tools and supplies needed for the projects provided by LASE SOLAR
Be familiar and able to use a tape measure, hammer/sledge/mallet, drill and impact gun. Other tools as necessary.
