Description:
JOB DUTIES: The Construction Engineer is responsible for tasks related to installation of Existing, new cell, In-Building/DAS and/or growth projects to include 5Gmm, C-Band installation for Macro and Small Cells. The position requires the individual to monitor weekly and monthly forecast schedules for select PM/CM and teams to meet network growth requirements and communicate as necessary. Responsibilities include attending engineering meetings and providing updates and feedback as required. Person will be in field at project locations 2 days per week with teams throughout Tri-State area to monitor and provide direction and follow up with all roadblocks. Monitor material ordering feedback through SHI and other channels and provide direction for back ordered materials to meet activation timelines. Must ensure compliance with all Wireless standards, OSHA and local entity practices are met. Must provide direction for Network projects as defined by network deployment plans. Construction engineering plan will include structural (TES/NB&C) and PMI review, cell hardware, transmission equipment, power equipment, batteries, cables, floor space planning, HVAC, and miscellaneous hardware. On site meetings with network assurance, municipality leadership and power authority as required. Analyze and approve CD?s and RFDS configurations for and equipment vendors, facilities engineering and radio engineering groups to assure that equipment is configured to meet network requirements. Design, specify, and document special equipment configurations when required by site-specific construction situations. Position also includes review and completion of Ontel COP Live Review. Work closely with all engineering groups in the Network team including Construction, Equipment Engineering, Network Assurance, RF Design, Traffic, Real Estate, and System Performance. Effectively manage Embedded Base projects through vendors and consultants. Work with vendors to obtain bids, quotes, negotiate pricing, and ensure their products and services meet Wireless? requirements. Ensure departmental compliance with company procurement and equipment installation policies.

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important): ? 5-10 years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications? industry. ? Strong construction background required ? Detailed knowledge of cell RAN equipment & testing procedures, electrical and mechanical design, including equipment configuration, TELCO interface, DC power systems, lightning protection and grounding. Close attention to detail is a requirement. ? Valid Driver?s license required.

DESIRED SKILLS: Best to use bullet points and the same basic format as the previous section. ? Excellent team, project management and communications skills. ? Must be self-motivated, show initiative, and be able to work independently. ? Must be highly productive and detail oriented. ? Knowledge of databases, Microsoft Office applications, web based application, and software tool packages.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: ? Bachelor?s degree in technical field. ? 5-10 years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications? industry. ? Knowledge of databases, Microsoft Office applications, web based application, and software tool packages. LOGISTICS: Shift: M - F, 9 to 5; Minimal Weekend.
