Primary Purpose:
Cloud Platform Solution Architect will serve as a thought leader, work with a team of individuals who are committed to define technical strategy, solution architecture, design and delivering end-to-end cloud platform needs to support product development teams and platform reliability engineering teams.
You'll demonstrate strong technical competence and business acumen through engaging in technology decision-making discussions related to agility and business value surrounding the Azure Cloud platform.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Owns the cloud architecture solutions and partners with Domain Architect and IT Leadership to advance the cloud strategy
Partners with Cloud Platform Leader to provide consistent input to the technology roadmap
Evangelize & implement Azure Cloud services and lead building cloud-native services and solutions
Gather requirements for all aspects of Cloud delivery, propose solutions and document.
Create, document reference architecture, high-level & low-level designs, and design decisions
Conduct workshops, forums, training and contribute to cloud development and delivery
Collaborate with Enterprise architecture, Platform engineering and Product teams
Technical alignment of Global/Regional/Local configuration and deployment architectures
Work within a project management/agile scrum teams in a leading role as part of a wider team
Maintain quality documentation for enterprise-wide solutions, standards, and best practices.
Establishes architecture framework for cloud-based delivery that enables CI/CD, cloud native development, and integration with cloud providers
Aligns cloud security to the overall enterprise architecture and security footprint
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of overall IT experience focused on infrastructure background preferred or software development
5+ years of experience designing and planning Azure environments in enterprise environments including application dependencies, client presentation mechanisms, network connectivity and overall cloud strategies.
3+ years of experience of with IaC tools (ARM, Terraform, JSON, PowerShell, Github etc)
Hands on experience with Azure Enterprise-scale reference architecture
Experience in creating architecture patterns for public cloud and cloud-native solutions
Experience with assessments of application portfolio and migration of on-premises workloads to the cloud
Hands on experience with IaC tools like ADO, ARM, terraform, ansible, PowerShell, python, azcli, github.
Design, configuration, and maintenance of Kubernetes environments using AKS
Domain expertise of Windows/Linux/VMware/Hyper-V/AKS, SQL and N0-SQL DB's, IaaS, PaaS, FaaS, Data, SAP, BCDR, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, Monitoring, Identity and Connectivity
Knowledge of Web application server technologies, cloud application design, software architecture and practices; (design/development/deployment, Agile, SCRUM, ALM)
Experience addressing operational and non-functional concerns (e.g. horizontal & vertical scalability, performance, maintainability, load distribution, resilience, recovery, security and privacy).
Drive capacity planning, performance analysis, instrumentation, and other nonfunctional systems requirements
Self-Organizer, good negotiator, stakeholder management and manages opposing viewpoints.
Strong communication skills - the willingness to engage discourse, ability to "make the case" and understand various tradeoffs in architectural discovery engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Azure Solutions Architect required; Certified Azure DevOps preferred.
Prior experience as an Infrastructure Architect or hands on Solutions Lead.
