ROLE SUMMARY

Subject Matter Expert focused on providing leadership, guidance and technical and GMP compliance support to global plant operations with respect to HVAC, Building Control Systems, Facilities, and Plant Utilities. Support Energy and Climate Change/Sustainability program.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership and guidance in compliance and operational improvement support of HVAC systems in all Pfizer manufacturing facilities. Work includes supporting HVAC/Facilities design for aseptic, bio-tech, solid oral dose, liquids and API related project design, operational improvement and quality program teams and initiatives supporting all manufacturing sites globally in the PGS network.

  • Contribute to energy conservation & productivity improvements

  • Guide project and utility teams to resolve basic equipment / facility issues

  • Ensure that all safety instructions and measures are strictly observed

  • Ensure compliance to regulatory norms, best practices and global policies and procedures

  • Function as SME on aseptic/sterile Pfizer Quality Standards (PQS) related to HVAC and Smoke Studies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Engineering. MS or MBA desirable. Minimum 10 years in Pharmaceutical Industry.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Excellent customer, stakeholder & customer relationship management.

  • Ability to travel up to 40% domestic and international.

  • Strong leadership and influencing capabilities at all levels of the organization.

  • Proven problem solving and project management skills.

  • Independent thinker with strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Experience on international assignments and demonstrated ability to navigate effectively in various cultures.

  • Expertise in HVAC and environmental conditions related to pharmaceutical production with a strong understanding of aseptic processes.

  • External influence in Industry, professional organizations, and regulatory agencies

  • The ability to influence sites and Pfizer colleagues’ attitudes and behaviors pertaining to energy mgmt practices.

  • Strong capabilities to understand, lead, and nurture a growing business support program.

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to travel frequently (30%)

  • Ability to inspect site HVAC equipment in mechanical spaces

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Standard Work Schedule – up to 30% domestic/ international travel; some travel may require Sunday flights or return trips on Saturday’s base on site needs and schedules.
