SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Merchandising Team Member will play an integral role in supporting a sales and service culture. They will enhance our brand as a retailer in collaboration with other team members dedicated to providing exceptional service and a clean and inviting shopping environment. A successful Merchandising Team member is actively involved in merchandising execution, store cleanliness, safe working environment, and the execution of company directives. This requires working in service with one another for the customer, prioritizing workload, and contributing to accomplishing the team's key objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Acknowledges and actively engages with customers in a courteous, helpful, and respectful manner; assists as needed. Replenishes merchandise on store fixtures following stocking plans and presentation standards. Adheres to team goals to meet replenishment productivity expectations. Organizes and straightens merchandise areas on the sales floor; replenishes products as needed. Prepares merchandise for stocking; verifies prices and adds price labels as needed. Creates, displays, and maintains required store signage on fixtures and shelves; monitors store signage to ensure in compliance with sign standards. Assists in organizing backroom by safely removing and replacing product, fixtures, and equipment. Effectively communicates with customers, team members, and management. Maintains organization and cleanliness of fixtures and work area, removes trash and debris. Demonstrates safe work methods and practices, including reporting safety issues promptly. Performs responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and effectively following policies and procedures. Performs other duties as needed including, but not limited to, customer checkout, Return to Vendor (RTV) processing, backroom organization, and cart retrieval. Demonstrates commitment to the team by maintaining regular, punctual attendance, is reliable and follows through with responsibilities. JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Must be minimum of 18 years old. Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Occasionally be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 40 pounds. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. May involve reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders. ABOUT CTS CTS is a value brick and mortar home goods retailer with a specialty in seasonal products.
