You are applying for a part-time, seasonal Security Guard position at the Erie Yacht Club. This position will be second shift (4pm-12am) and third shift (12am-8am) with some occasional first shift hours. It will also include weekends and some holidays. Some typical job duties include but are not limited to:
-Continually observe traffic coming to the club and prevent unauthorized vehicles from entering the property.
-Report any misconduct of members, guests and employees taking place on club property.
-Continually observing grounds for fire and unsafe areas.
-Responds to all emergency and fire alarms during shift.
-Maintains accurate log of all security staff activities.
-Maintains the Guardhouse in a neat, clean and orderly condition at all times.
-Performs any other tasks deemed necessary by the Assistant Harbor Master or Harbor
Master
Job requirements:
-Must be able tolerant of all-weather conditions
-Must be comfortable working near the water
-Must have valid Pennsylvania driver's license and reliable transportation
-Must be friendly and personable
General knowledge and skills that are preferred include:
-Organizational skills
-Creative thinking
-Basic mechanical knowledge
-Working well independently as well as with a team
