THE POSITIONThis position offers the opportunity to experience all aspects of the software development life cycle as part of a small development team that supports the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR). There are a wide range of opportunities to work with everything from database design and development, application development in the user interface and business layer code, to reporting and data analysis. DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position is responsible for the analysis, planning, design, development, testing and debugging, maintenance, and documentation of applications that fulfill the needs of the program area's business system requirements.Work involves independent development, maintenance, and customization of applications as a member of the development team following the system development life cycle (SDLC) and development standards established by the Division.Development Projects may range from applications of limited complexity and scope to participating as part of the development team on applications that are highly complex agency or inter-agency systems and/or applications that involve critical business processes and diverse operational requirements.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQualifications:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3; or two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or a bachelor's degree in any information technology field.
