Description: Our client is currently seeking a Java-Spring Developer for a contract-to-hire role:

Location: Harrisburg, PA (hybrid)

Must be US Citizen or GC holder (No C2C)

Description

This advanced technical position is responsible for service platform development. Responsibilities include developing a new in-house data exchange platform firmly grounded in Service Oriented Architecture principles within a Spring environment. The platform supports both internal case management system application integration and external data integration with AOPC business partners. The project includes rapid conversion of functionality from the existing internal and external integration solutions onto the new platform.

Primary Duties

- Perform data exchange interface design, development, and testing.

- Manages and performs detailed testing of data exchange implementations. Performs code reviews.

- Ensure data integrity and error handling in data exchange interfaces. Analyzes error messages and transaction files to identify and respond to issues raised in reference to data exchanges with internal and external agencies.

- Assists in identifying code optimization opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree with an IT-related major or minor; AND

- One year of IT experience involving the analysis, design and maintenance of databases.

- An equivalent combination of education, experience, and / or training may be considered.

Additional Requirements/Preferences

- Required technical skills: J2SE SDK development, Spring (Boot, Framework, Web, Web Services), Web Services (SOAP, REST), Java standard APIs (Collections, Concurrency, JDBC, JMS, JNDI), and Design Patterns

- Preferred technical skills: MQ Server, Spring Cloud, Cloud Data Flow, .NET (VB or C#), WCF, and Modeling experience: XML Schema, UML object modeling, relational database.

- Satisfactory criminal background check required.
