Research Analyst / Project Manager.

Job Description:
  • Must have a

    strong background in Mathematics and Analysis
  • Perform studies and prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence to clearly communicate recommendations and conclusions
  • Develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply operations research rules and procedures in a variety of situations and recommend solutions to senior analysts
  • Identify significant factors and fundamental relationships, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions
  • Prepare analyses and documentation to support deliberations and decisions of any required assessments to include consideration of all alternative approaches
  • Collect, organize, enter data into database systems, and analyze business/financial/personnel and infrastructure operations data
  • Maintain historical record of all data, analysis, issues, and resolutions
  • Design, plan and conduct assessments of current processes.
  • Design, plan, conduct and document cost effectiveness and cost benefit analyses
  • Provide logistics analysis
  • Other duties as required/assigned

Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Operations Research preferred OR at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics (at least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus)

  • Previous experience with

    Project Management / Analytical Support
  • Professional knowledge of a wide range of principles, concepts, and practices of operations research analysis to apply scientific methods and techniques to analyze systems, processes, and/or operational problems and procedures.
  • Knowledge of mathematics and analysis to perform studies and prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence to communicate recommendations/conclusions clearly.
  • Knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.
  • Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors and fundamental relationships, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, and confer with co-workers effectively
  • Demonstrated experience providing qualitative and quantitative analytical support
  • Documented experience directing, planning, executing projects or programs
  • Outstanding verbal and nonverbal communication skills are required
  • Possess strong analytic and problem-solving skills as well as strong multitasking and time-management skills
  • Ability to maintain focus on the overall "big picture" and how to integrate each project within the larger enterprise infrastructure
  • Clearly and effectively convey information to individuals or groups; this includes the ability to choose the appropriate method or methods of communication
  • Be able to consistently carry out job responsibilities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to deliver on commitments as promised and able to acknowledge when commitments are not met and takes appropriate steps to fulfill what has been promised
  • Be able to effectively organize, plan, control and prioritize work/projects.
  • Capable of working under minimum supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience analyzing programmatic data to produce reports and recommendations on improving Business Processes, Cost Effectiveness, Organizational Cost Benefits, and Logistic efficiency for US Military Projects
