Product Managers provide the product vision: developing and harmonizing the product roadmap and defining new features and capabilities to support the company’s Digital Science strategy. The Product Manager will work directly with our customers, partners and internal sales, services and support teams to translate scientific workflows and business processes into digital solutions.We are looking for a candidate with a track record of innovation specifically with the ability to deliver quality, on-time scientific software solutions. The ideal candidate has existing experience in the LIMS, ELN or SDMS market and a solid understanding of scientific workflow and digital technology. This person should be collaborative and communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and business partners and will coordinate closely with multiple functional teams, including Market Intelligence, Program Management, Sales and Services.What will you do in this role?Drive the entire product lifecycle from plan through high-level product backlog definition to execution of go-to-market and commercialization
Understand customer business challenges and translate these into product requirements
Articulate the product strategy across all levels of the business to secure the funding to deliver
Gain Voice of Customer feedback for existing product and to verify future planned developments
Assist the commercial team to drive growth
Support the implementation process to ensure successful customer go-lives
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesSkill navigating the product lifecycle including project justification and roadmap development
Understand small and large molecule drug development within GLP operations
Knowledge of laboratory software including LIMS, ELN, LES and SDMS
Familiarity with agile software development and quality management systems
Time management and self-organizational skills
Ability to connect with both technical and business-focused audiences
Ability to influence without authority
Minimum Experience and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in scientific or business field required
5 - 10 years in product management, or in a customer facing role working with an enterprise LIMS Software application required
Proficiency in English language
Engaging communication style
Willingness to travel domestic and international 15-20% of the time
Preferred Experience and QualificationsMaster’s and/or MBA degree in scientific/business field
Practical experience in either operation or implementation of Watson LIMS Software
