GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Technology Support Speciliastin the Harrisburg, PAarea.
Position Overview
To manage and impalement technology initiatives in support of all programs; provide advanced customer support to employees for services and hardware provided by Technology Services including desktops, laptops, and other devices.
Responsibilities
Resolve helpdesk tickets and log all support issues in helpdesk software.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues for computer software and hardware utilized by client's employees and/or partners.
Troubleshoot and provide support for end user Voice over IP (VoIP) issues.
Troubleshoot and provide support for wireless issues.
Diagnose and resolve basic network related issues.
Coordinate and lead IT projects with technology staff.
Advise Help Desk staff and communicate goals and deadlines to team.
Attend professional development/training to remain current in the latest technological trends and troubleshooting techniques.
Attend technology meetings and other meetings as required.
Provide website administration.
Conduct research and provide recommendations for new technology.
Develop and deliver trainings on technology topics.
Manage user accounts and profiles within Microsoft active directory.
Monitor and maintain spam filtering.
Create and manage distribution lists.
Create and manage shared user mailboxes.
Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required: Associate degree preferred.
A+ certification preferred.
A minimum of three (3) years of previous help desk or similar technology experience, required.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required.
Strong PC and Mac troubleshooting skills required.
Experience repairing technology including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices required.
Experience supporting windows and mac OS required.
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite required.
Knowledge of or experience with educational software and programs preferred.
Experience with Windows Deployment Service for imaging and deploying computers preferred.
Ability to serve as a subject matter expert for the support team, supported applications and hardware required.
Must be self-motivated and team oriented.
Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities.
Must demonstrate professionalism while working with all levels of support contacts.
