Growing, eCommerce company doing business on the Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Jet and other marketplaces. The company is a retailer of grocery, costumes, toys, health and personal care, office, and electronic products. The company operates from its headquarters in Elizabethtown, PA.
In this position you will supervise the work of employees at the Elizabethtown production facility. This work includes setting up jobs, preparation of required documents and preparing the products for shipment. You will develop the procedures necessary to repeat the process and document them for future use. As a key member of the company's Operation Team, you will work closely with the Planning Department and Upper Management to manage workflow through the department. You will also be responsible to lead LEAN Manufacturing initiatives at the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review work and production schedules with Planning Department for optimum results
Lead and motivate employees to maximize productivity and minimize operating costs
Own metrics such as productivity and capacity
Ensure that products are produced at an acceptable quality level
Identification of potential process and workflow improvements
Efficient setup of jobs to enable production to work efficiently and effectively
Development of process procedures and the training of employees
Lead LEAN manufacturing activities
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED, Associates Degree in Business or related field preferred
2 minimum of supervisory experience in production or manufacturing environment
Excellent knowledge of computers, including MS office applications, google docs, etc.
Willingness to step up and work side by side with employees
Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership and team building skills
Must be self-directed and able to work without close supervision
The position requires high energy and motivation and a strong desire to drive positive change
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to directly handle the product. The Supervisor must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
