Job DescriptionPenn State Health CorporationLocation: US:PA:Hershey (ON-SITE)Work Type: Full TimeFTE: 0.90Shift: NightHours: 7:00p - 7:00aRecruiter Contact: Briana Kissell at bkissell@pennstatehealth.psu.eduSUMMARY OF POSITION:The Virtual Care Nurse (VCN) provides TeleICU nursing care to a diverse population of critically ill patients across multiple hospitals regionally from a centralized Virtual Care Center. The VCN assesses their patients data and provides nursing care in collaboration with local care teams using audio/video connections during the patients ICU stay to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The VCN performs video assessment of their patient, monitors patients' biometric data, vital signs and other physiological data using specialized software and digital health technologies. PSH Virtual ICU uses innovative technology to expand access to high quality critical care across the region they serve. Using digital health technology, we provide support to bedside staff for critically ill patients 24/7. We monitor and assess vital statistics in order to give bedside providers advanced notice about patients’ potential future needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Nursing required Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners requiredBLS and ACLS CCRN, CCRN-K or CCRN-E certification within one (1) year of hireThree (3) years clinical experience in specialty area requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):Experience with Cerner Powerchart Telehealth certification If chosen for this position, you may required to pass a Post Offer Employment Physical Exam in accordance with the measurements listed in the Work Task Analysis (WTA) report.
