You will work real-time next generation payload flight software (FSW) development and integration, while using modern architectural concepts, model-based methodologies and software toolchains to deploy to critical code to existing single-core processors.

You will be responsible for developing and testing payload flight software in software-only and hardware/software environments, including execution of integration tests to validate hardware to software interfaces, software to software interfaces, and functionality. The job responsibilities include analyzing the hardware, software, and system requirements and implementation; developing and testing code utilizing Model Based Design approaches; establishing development and test tools; identifying and resolving anomalies during test on various software- and system-level platforms; identifying and implementing required software modifications and participating in technical reviews/audits of software products. You will primarily provide hands-on development and integration efforts along with perform software engineering in all phases of the software lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) while employing an agile development paradigm.

Basic Qualifications:
• Familiar with embedded software development using C/C, Object Oriented Design and Real-time programming constructs.
• Experience in implementation in an object oriented environment and mastery of OO / UML / C.
• Ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance (Must be U.S. Citizen)
Desired Skills:
• Detail-oriented and accountable during the design phase for organizing and closing peer reviews
• Experience developing real-time embedded software in an Agile development environment
• Experience with single board computers and real-time operating systems
• Experience with Wind River VxWorks 6.x/7.x
• Familiarity with embedded and closed loop software systems, and the verification thereof in both software simulation/emulation and hardware-in-the-loop systems
• Experience iwith hardware/software integration
• Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems, hardware, telemetry, command & control
• Familiarity with Simulink, MATLAB, or Python, Git, JIRA
• Experience in a fast-paced, team oriented, rapidly changing environment
• Demonstrated excellent initiative, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to synthesize design elements for complex architectures.

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $87,600 - $146,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligible

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
