Web and Digital Marketing Specialist for Herald Publishing

Overview
Herald Publishing is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to implement and manage the creative and technical development of the website, email marketing and social media for the Bucks County Herald and River Towns Magazine, two exciting, thriving media brands.
This role is vital in supporting Herald Publishing’s mission as a community hub for local news, arts, dining, entertainment and story-telling, while supporting thousands of local nonprofits, businesses, civic groups and people who make our community and world a better place.
The Digital Marketing Specialist’s primary mission is to optimize the use of digital platforms for community engagement and growth in readership, subscriptions and advertising revenue. The successful candidate will be both technically skilled and able to create very visually appealing and brand-aligned web pages, email marketing pieces and social media posts.
Major Responsibilities
· Planning, developing and the day-to-day functioning and performance of the websites, email marketing and social media platforms.
· Managing special digital marketing campaigns, contests, giveaways, awards, and other digital projects.
· Preparing reports on the performance of each platform, and using the data to enhance performance.
· Identifying and implementing the latest trends and technologies to enhance performance.
Professional Experience Required
· Extensive experience developing and managing websites, email marketing and social media.
· Successful collaborations with tech vendors, writers and creative colleagues.
· Extensive experience in using web, email marketing and social media analytics, to achieve higher performance.
· A track record in meeting performance goals/metrics for web, email marketing and social media.
Desired Qualities
· A minimum of 2-3 years experience in digital marketing or advertising.
· Skills across web, email marketing and social media platforms.
· A strong desire and ability to apply leading edge industry trends to improve marketing and advertising production.
· Very high degree of creativity and sophistication in design and branding.
· The ability to translate copy into compelling messaging and information.
· Ability to work under deadlines on multiple projects, and effectively multi-task.
· Strong interpersonal skills and maintaining a positive attitude when under pressure.
· Excellent judgment as it concerns how and when media content is shared with the public.
Technical Skills
· Must be experienced in CMS platform.
· Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
· Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
· In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and analytics.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing, or digital field, or equivalent experience.
