Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

Position Summary: Maintain the building mechanical systems.  This is an entry level position intended to focus on preventive and corrective maintenance.  Opportunities will be available to expand knowledge base.  Complete all assigned work in a timely manner and respond to emergency situations as they ariseMeets all quality and productivity metrics and demonstrates strong teamwork and collaboration Effectively communicates with external vendors and contractors as applicable to request quotes and/or complete projectsLearn and perform routine and non-routine duties independently to execute with minimal guidanceDiagnose problems and suggest possible solutionsUnderstand technical knowledge or skills not easily or quickly learned on the jobAssist with projects in a timely mannerInstall new equipment and repair minor to critical campus equipment.Assist with projects and respond to emergent repairs.Administer preventative maintenanceGive general assistance to supervisorCommunicate effectively with clients and staff membersConducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.Performs other duties as assigned
