We are currently recruiting for a full-time auto Reconditioning Detailer person in our Reconditioning Shop to perform vehicle interior/exterior cleaning.
Job Description:
This position will be responsible for the overall cleaning and refurbishing new and used vehicles to dealership specifications and time allowances.
Job Duties Include:
Washes vehicle exterior, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
Applies wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect surface and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine
Vacuums vehicle interiors to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.
Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot- and stain- resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime.
Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following recommendations of the product's manufacturer.
Understands and delivers to the specific requirements of the customers
Inspects the vehicles thoroughly
Maintains the proper function of all service tools and equipment
Keeps work area neat and clean.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record
Ability to read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
Physical requirements: regularly required to stand, crouch, and kneel; frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms and to use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools and components; occasionally required to stoop or crawl and the ability to talk and hear. Ability to lift 50lbs.
