J & Co is growing the salon by expanding our square footage and adding 3 new stylist stations to our existing space. We offer all hair care services, massage and esthetics. Along with this exciting news, we are looking to hire in all areas, including licensed cosmetologists, with great personalities and a passion for what they do. We have a talented team of stylist who have helped create a friendly, supportive workplace. Our culture supports growth, education, and success in all aspects of the industry. Experienced licensed stylist preferred, but not required. Candidates should be confident in most areas of hair cutting and hair coloring services such as balayage, ombres, and highlights. Job Requirements
Consulting with clients prior to services to best meet their needs and preferences.
Explaining how to use different hair care products and their benefits.
Shampooing, cutting, coloring and highlighting hair.
Performing waxing on lip, brow, or chin.
Executing scalp treatments.
Suggesting retail to clients to purchase at the salon.
Building a personal, yet professional relationship with clients.
Adhering to salon safety and cleanliness standards.
Managing bookings and welcoming clients into the store.
Keeping updated on hairstyle trends and styling methods.
Utilizing social media platforms to promote your skills.
Helping around the salon when needed (answer phones, scheduling, laundry, etc.)
