This part-time position is perfect for someone who is already working or in school, and looking to make some extra money on the side.
You will be responsible for controlling entry to assigned parking areas, directing guests, selling and validating parking permits, and providing parking information to patrons for Penn State Football games as well as for Basketball, Hockey, Baseball, concerts, and other events across campus. Hours are typically on Saturdays with the average shift being 6 to 12 hours, Other hours and days may be available. Applicants must have evening and weekend availability. Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must due to the one-on-one interactions with Penn State visitors, faculty, staff and students.
Event Parking Cashiers/Lot Attendants responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Greeting guests with a smile as they arrive to the parking lots
-Accepting cash and organizing change
-Scanning prepaid passes
-Flagging cars into the lot
-Working outdoors in various weather conditions
Successful Event Parking Cashiers/Lot Attendants must be:
-Ready to provide great customer service!
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
-Able to work independently and in a group/team setting.
-Punctual
-Well-groomed
-Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
