Qualifications:
Be eighteen years of age as of 6/1/2019
Have a current drivers license, and transportation to Woodward Camp if not living at camp.
Clear state and federal criminal background checks to work with children.
Have a history of working around a farm or equestrian facilities, riding, and caring for horses
Be physically fit to easily mount, dismount, and ride horses without aids or assistance.
Be skilled at communicating properly to promote, teach, and supervise riding activities.
Be willing to study and learn while being part of the equestrian team.
Must agree to comply with regulations and rules of conduct of Woodward Camp and Powdr, Inc.
Be free from any medical condition, disability, or allergy, etc. that will affect performance.
Must have earned a graduation diploma from an accredited private or public high school.
Tasks or duties:
Feed, groom, inspect, saddle, lead, medicate, train, and care for horses.
Educate guests about horses during lectures; teach riding skills before and during rides.
Supervise campers on over-night camping trips and trail rides.
Talk to parents and campers to market the riding experience.
Drive vehicles to campsites and trail locations and to run errands.
Options: Part time or full time. Live at camp or commute.
Meals included. Pay based on experience and education.
