There is an exciting opportunity to work with a SaaS startup in the Philadelphia area. This growing software company is hiring a Lead Java Developer to their engineering team to work on brand new applications.

The company is building a platform that will service the sports industry and will be 100% greenfield projects. Their platform is built in Java, Python, and Kotlin and deployed in Google Cloud Platform. This Developer will be involved in projects from end to end, from design to deployment. The team you will be joining have strong object-oriented programming backgrounds and computer science fundamentals, and are completely passionate about their work.

To be successful in the position, they are looking for several years of experience with strong object-oriented programming languages, as well as Microservices architecture. Culturally, they are looking for a demonstrated passion for innovation within technology. The company incorporates cutting-edge technologies from streaming tools to cloud technologies and while you do not need to have all that experience coming into the role, an aptitude for learning and excitement around it will be valued.
Required Skills & Experience

• Prior years of experience in Java 1.8 - 1.11
• Spring Boot experience
• MySQL or Postgres database experience
• Prior Microservices experience
• Excellent communication
• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science (or related field)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Big Data experience, preferably Kafka (Spark, Flink, Kinesis okay too)
• Continuous integration with Maven or Jenkins
• Deployment experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Cloud experience (preferably Google Cloud, but AWS and Azure are okay)
• Prior experience working for a SaaS company or startup
