Reports to: Associate Vice President- U.S. Legal Department



Based in Philadelphia

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist AVP in overall management of Legal Help Desk (company legal portal);

  • Process legal-debt matters for collection as assigned and manage a collections docket;

  • Draft and amend contracts with limited assistance and supervision;

  • Review and correctly interpret commercial and legal contract provisions;

  • Clearly and effectively articulate contract risks and liabilities to stakeholders;

  • Recommend new and alternative commercial and legal contract language to internal and external parties;

  • Effectively negotiate commercial and legal contract provisions with external parties including client counsel;

  • Recognize and communicate to stakeholders unique requirements that arise in different contract settings; and


Participate in legal research and legal data projects as needed.



Required Skills & Qualifications:


  • At least 6 years of experience in a legal/corporate office;

  • At least 3 years of experience with working with commercial contracts including drafting, risk analysis and negotiations;

  • At least 2 years of management experience managing junior and senior level employees preferred;

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;

  • Effective time-management in a demanding, deadline-driven environment;

  • Ability to adapt in an environment of ongoing change, growth and progress;

  • Professional, clear and informative writing style;

  • Varying writing style to meet client and company needs;

  • Patience and attention to details, accuracy, and thoroughness when interpreting and analyzing written commercial contracts;

  • Ability to effectively collect and research data and facts;

  • Exercises professionalism at all times;

  • Commits fully to the job;

  • Dependability (follows instructions, responds to management direction, meets deadlines, consistently arrives to work on time); and

  • Takes initiative, asks for help and offers help as needed.
