Works directly with study physicians, research coordinators, project managers, and other research staff. Performs screening visits, consenting of participants, processing and shipping of labs, entering data into databases, and escorting participants to other testing/procedure areas. Help advance the research mission of the Division and University.Job DescriptionThis position involves providing support in a neuroimaging research program involving retinal gene therapy. He/She will perform the functional MRI on possible clinical candidates; conduct image analysis assessing the patients' visual function; screen and enroll subjects for a federally funded study in a medical research setting; obtain informed consent from study subjects or their proxies; responsible for communicating to the Penn IRB and government institutes to ensure the proper protocols; manage the study database by archiving of patient results of longitudinal clinical and imaging results; conduct statistical analysis of study data and report results to PI; Other duties as assigned. Position is contingent on funding.QualificationsH.S. Diploma or GED with 1-2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
