If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Program Manager in IBM Global Financing’s Commercial Financing group you will work in a fast-paced and fluid environment. This is a growing business with a changing business model which demands experience, an ability to identify and address risk, processes, and customer requirements collectively to ensure a balanced, controlled, and smooth functioning operation.Program Management: Work closely with management, sales, business controls, operations, accounting, finance & planning, credit, I/T, and worldwide peers to identify and address issues. Some issues are known and others have yet to be discovered. A deep understanding of the business (internally and externally), curiosity, and creativity are necessary to identify and truly understand issues and rapidly develop and implement satisfying solutions. Lead multiple concurrent projects prioritizing issues and balancing financial and business risk. Experience in collections is necessary and key as the role requires significant time spent engaging directly with the IGF collections team and ensuring appropriate actions are being taken to manage accounts receivable. Meeting ad hoc information requests from management and executives will be common.Channel: Understand I/T channel partners, their motivations, business challenges, and selling model. Also understand the IBM and OEM hardware/software/services suppliers to the channel. Both are our customers. An understanding of IGF supplier and reseller agreements is key as well as ensuring we meet both of their needs and manage firewalls to prevent inadvertent disclosure of information to competing parties. Role will require direct engagement with resellers and suppliers.Leadership: Work closely with employees across the COE, and often with peers around the world, as well as with IGF management from first line managers up to and including the VP and GM level. Develop and lead training / education for new and established employees alike. You will often be the subject matter expert; thus, a deep understanding of IGF systems, processes, practices, guidelines, controls, and frequent engagement is critical to success in this role.
